100W PCB-mountable power supplies features low profile

TDK-Lambda EMEA has upped the output power of its ZPSA series of compact PCB-mountable AC/DC power supplies with the introduction of a 100W model. The new single-output ZPSA100 accepts a wide input voltage range, has a low profile of 26.6mm and industry standard footprint of 127x76.2mm, making it suitable for applications such as LED signage and lighting, point-of-sale equipment, datacomm, video/audio routers and test and measurement equipment. These 100W supplies are available with the single output voltages from 5V to 48V DC. Offering a typical efficiency of up to 90%, these models are suitable for operation in both convection or customer air cooled environments from 0 up to 70°C, with appropriate derating. A green LED is provided as an indicator that the power supply is on, and other standard features include over voltage and short-circuit protection. These supplies are offered in an open-board configuration with Molex input/output connectors.

Accepting an input voltage range of 90 to 264V AC (47-440Hz) or 120 to 370V DC, the new series is ready for use globally with no further configuration or input selection. Its industry standard footprint makes it a drop-in replacement for existing supplies, while its low profile means that it can be installed in the most compact of applications. The supplies are approved to national and international safety approvals, including IEC/EN/UL/CSA60950-1 (edition 2) meets conducted and radiated EMC requirements of EN55022-B and FCC Class B (without additional filtering or components) and meets EN61000-4 immunity specifications for enhanced reliability. All models in the new series carry the CE mark, according to the LV Directive.
