Cadstar BoardModeler Lite creates a bridge between the ECAD and MCAD domains using the industrial formats that are in common use in the MCAD world, namely the ACIS, STEP and STL formats. Visualisation, measurement and on-line design-rulechecking capabilities allow you to verify an electrical design against mechanical requirements. Component-placement changes, board outline and heightlimitation areas are automatically backannotated into the PCB design. The technology offers an enhanced 3D environment to ensure that the PCB design fits the mechanical product design.
