Development kit for STM32 connectivity line

EDN Europe, 24 Jul 2009

Hitex has introduced the STM32-comStick designed for an easy and low-cost start in STMicroelectronics’ new Cortex-M3-based STM32 connectivity line. The STM32-comStick is a complete small-sized development kit that provides a comprehensive entry to the STM32 connectivity line’s features. In addition to a complete toolchain with HiTOP IDE/debugger for flash programming and debugging plus a Tasking C compiler for Cortex the stick also includes several application examples for the various communication interfaces, such as web server, USB host and file system. The examples partly come along with the source code so that they can be used as a basis for own applications. The STM32-comStick is based on the design of the STM32-PerformanceStick, that was honored with the Embedded Award 2008. The STM32-comStick itself is equipped with a STM32F107 microcontroller with 256kbyte flash and 64kbyte SRAM. The STM32 connectivity line microcontrollers combine USB OTG (on-the-go), Ethernet and CAN2.0B interfaces which makes them suitable for networked applications.
