DOSA-compliant 1/16 brick DC-DC converter

Power-One has introduced the SSQE48T25033 DC-DC converter. This DOSA-compliant 1/16 brick provides 3.3VDC at 25A with full-rated power available at 55°C and 22A at 70°C, using 200LFM airflow. Tight regulation and high efficiency make this converter suitable for DPA or IBA power source for communications, data server/storage and workstation applications. This rugged product also features the capability to withstand a 100V input transient for 100ms. Additional features include a 36 to 75VDC input range, the capability to start up into pre-biased loads and no minimum-load operation. It offers protections namely hiccup-mode overcurrent, output overvoltage, input undervoltage lockout and overtemperature shutdown. Interface and trim capabilities include remote sense, remote ON/OFF (positive or negative logic option) and +10%/−20% output voltage trim ranges with industry-standard trim equations. Approvals include UL/CSA 60950-1, EN 60950-1, UL94 V-0 and IEC EN 60950-1. The converter features a through-hole-mount pinout and 22.9x33mm size. A low profile 9.5mm height reduces airflow shadowing, facilitating improved cooling for downstream components.
