Free development environment for ARM
Hitex updates development tools suite, available on download
EDN Europe, 20 Nov 2007Hitex Development Tools has released a new version of its free Hitex Developer Suite for ARM (HDS) software package, including; an unlimited version of the HiSIM instruction set simulator; HiTOP IDE/debugger; GNU C-compiler; evaluation version of the TASKING VX C-compiler for ARM; and application notes for compiler benchmarking. The kit allows you, Hitex says, to quickly familiarise yourself with ARM-specify programming features and with the universal HiTOP debug software without any investment (other than your time!). The latest HiTOP version includes the facility to fully integrate compilers such as the TASKING VX C-compiler. In addition, it now provides template files for all common ARM derivatives which enhance the basic application settings. To define customised windows HiTOP has been expanded by a graphical SFR editor. You can download it here.
