High-power and compact RF signal generators

Aeroflex has expanded its flexible PXI modular test platform with the addition of two 3020 series high-power and compact RF signal generators. The RF signal generators feature integrated dual-channel arbitrary waveform generators. They are suitable for R&D manufacturing and design verification of RF components and systems. The addition of the 3021C and 3026C extend the output power range of the series to +17dBm for frequencies up to 3 and 6GHz, respectively. Both the signal generators are light in weight and achieve low DC power consumption of less than 50W, which results in lower running costs. The 3026C has a frequency range of 1 to 6GHz and features high output power. The device can provide direct input stimulus to power amplifiers without the need for pre-amplification. The device can provide a direct high power LO input to frequency converters and modulators. The 3026C is suitable for use in test systems where test-fixture losses are high. The 3021C RF signal generator has a frequency range of 100kHz to 3GHz. It offers the same performance specifications as the 3026C and features an extended low-end frequency range and more economical price for applications below 3GHz.
