Kit for microcontroller includes evaluation board and debug probe
EDN Europe, 25 May 2011
IAR Systems has introduced a kit for STMicroelectronics’ ARM Cortex-M3 based STM32L family of microcontrollers with all the required hardware and software for evaluation and prototyping. The IAR KickStart kit includes an evaluation board featuring an STM32L152VB microcontroller, and a LCD display. The kit also has an IAR J-Link Lite debug probe that provides joint test action group connections to the board, a CD with software tools, and board support packages for different real-time OS.The microcontroller family is designed for low-power applications. When the board is connected through an IAR J-Link Ultra debug probe, IAR’s power debugging technology will be enabled. IAR claims that the power debugging technology allows users to tune and optimise software applications.
