10 µF, at 100V, in MLCC format

Murata claims the first 1210(EIA) size, 3.2 x 2.5 mm, 100 VDC 10 µF monolithic ceramic capacitor (MLCC) breaking the previous MLCC design barrier of 4.7 uF.

With a guaranteed operating temperature up to 125C, the GRM series capacitor, part code GRM32EC72A106KE05, has X7S characteristics and a K ( ±10 %) tolerance. It is suited for use in the 48 VDC power supply circuits of network equipment and base stations. In the past the required capacitance for these applications has typically been achieved by using two or more 2.2 and 4.7 µF capacitors. In today’s space constrained designs, the need to reduce the number of capacitors is higher as is the need for capacitors rated at 100 VDC.
