These high voltage units address the requirements for applications in the OEM, industrial, defence & aerospace, alternative energy and ATE markets including: semiconductor and automotive test, and component test/burn-in. Carrying a 5-year warranty, the high voltage models have the same features and dimensions as the existing 7.5V to 600V 10kW and 15kW models. The units can operate in either constant current or constant voltage modes and accept either three-phase 400 Vac or 480 Vac inputs, with passive Power Factor Correction.
The high-voltage model features include a wider AC input voltage range for 400 Vac input (342 Vac – 440 Vac), higher efficiency (> 93%), faster up/down-programming response time (17 msec/20 msec), output isolation up to 1500V, built-in isolated remote analogue 5V/10V programme/monitor, two-wire parallel current share, lighter weight (< 31.7 kg), cooling fan speed control for reduced audible noise and extended fan life.
Higher power systems can be configured using the Master/Slave “Advanced” Parallel operating mode. This mode configures the Master unit to be the single point for programming, measurement and status of the total current of the paralleled system. Four units can operate as a single 60 kW power supply, increasing flexibility for system designers.
Common to the entire Genesys family is the embedded 16-bit RS-232/RS-485 Multi-Drop digital interface. Using this digital interface, up to 31 power supplies may be controlled in a daisy-chain over the RS-485 communication line. Other optional digital and analogue interfaces include the LXI Class C compliant LAN and the IEEE (IEEE488.2 and SCPI-compliant) Multi-Drop digital interfaces, which include a selection of instrument drivers such as NI LabVIEW and NI LabWindows. Isolated Analogue programming/monitor interface options included use either 0-5V/0-10V or 4-20 mA control.
Safety features included are Safe/Auto Re-Start, Last Setting Memory and built-in protective functions. CE marked in accordance with the Low Voltage Directive, the Genesys 3U 15 kW power supply series conforms to conducted and radiated EMI in
