2W compute module hosts Freescale i.MX 6UltraLite ARM Cortex-A7

Distributor Rutronik has the efus A7UL from F&S, based on the Freescale i.MX 6UltraLite ARM Cortex-A7 processor. The efus form factor is designed according to “EasyLayout” guidelines, making it suitable for applications with numerous interfaces in medicine and industry.

The efus A7UL has 2x 10/100Mb Ethernet, 4x Serial, USB2.0 Host/Device, 2x CAN, 2x I ²C, 2x SPI, I ²S Audio, and WiFi interfaces. LCD TFTs can be connected via 18-bit RGB, touch is available externally via I ²C. It comes up with up to 1 GB RAM and up to 1 GB SLC NAND Flash as well as up to 32 GB eMMC. Along with the attribute of an easy baseboard (EasyLayout), efus has a size of 47 x 62mm and is therefore suitable for compact housing. The low power drain of 2W (typ.) makes it easy to cool the module. All signal lines can be routed to the baseboard with no crossing points on the connector. The customised operating system (WEC 2013 or Linux) supports all interfaces, guaranteeing easy software development without further knowledge of hardware. Made by F&S, efus A7UL is pin compatible to efusA9 and efusA9X.
