32.768 kHz oscillator module consumes less power

Micro Crystal (Grenchen, Switzerland) has packaged a standard-frequency clock oscillator in a package measuring 1.2 x 2.0 x 0.7 mm. This hermetically sealed package hosts the integrated circuit together with the XTAL, tolerates harsh environmental condition and offers a wide supply voltage range with very low power consumption.

In active mode it draws as little as 1 μA driving one CMOS load. Since the oscillator is running also in stand-by mode (i= 0.45 μA) the accurate frequency is available instantaneously, with no delayed startup time, as is typical e.g. for an AT-crystal oscillator. Factory calibrated, the 32.768 kHz oscillator module uses a supply voltage range of 1.6 to 5.5V and operates over -40°C to + 85°C. Variants comprise;
