From US-based SL Power Electronics, high efficiency medical-grade MB60S power supplies feature small footprint ideal for surgical, imaging, patient monitoring and other medical devices

MB60S is a single output, convection cooled, wide temperature range power supply that provides 60W from an ultra-compact 2 x 3 x 1.0-in. package. An open-frame AC/DC unit, the MB60S is approved to the highest safety standards, including EN/IEC/UL60601-1, 3rd edition with Means of Patient Protection (2x MOPP). The MB60S models are certified for use in both patient vicinity and patient contact applications (i.e., blood pressure monitors or ultrasound equipment), where equipment is used near, or comes in direct contact with, the patient. These models have universal input of 90 to 264Vac and DC outputs range from 12V to 48V.

The MB60S power supply operates from -10°C to 80°C with -40°C start-up and has less than 0.5W of no-load power consumption. The six standard models are fully protected against short circuit, overload, and over-temperature conditions. An overvoltage protection circuit will prevent the supply from damaging the host product. They meet stringent EMC requirements for applications requiring Class B EMI, have more than 700,000 hours of calculated Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) and have cUL, CE, CB, and DEMKO approval markings. Pricing starts at $34.00 each (500).
