Software developers can integrate the VectorCAST test results of their embedded software applications into a single environment that manages the end-to-end processes of development. This includes requirements management, engineering change management, revision control, build management, test management, and software release, including the associated reports and metrics.
Using the VectorCAST Requirements Gateway (VectorCAST/RGW), engineers can import software requirements and associate them with VectorCAST test cases, including pass/fail results. This mapping can then be pushed back to PTC Integrity for complete traceability. Through a simple interface, developers can link requirements to VectorCAST test cases.
The PTC Integrity solution is built around a single platform that supports traceability, process automation and reporting, and analytics. A feature of this integration is that both the VectorCAST and PTC Integrity tools are certified by TÜV SÜD for developing ISO 26262 and IEC 61508 safety-critical systems. This enables engineers to both qualify the tool chain, and test the code developed for safety-critical applications, including the most stringent ASIL-D or SIL3 levels of safety function, as defined by the standards.
