The Keynote Speaker at Design and Verification Conference (DVCon) & Exhibition Europe 2015 has been announced as Hans Adlkofer, Vice President of the Automotive Systems Group at Infineon Technologies. His speech will include his vision for futures in self-driving cars and automotive semiconductors

Due to take place in Munich on November 11 th and 12 th November – with Hans Adlkofer’s Keynote on the 12 th – the full technical programme at DVCon 2015 will span; System Level Design & Verification; Advanced Verification & Validation; Design for Functional Safety; IP Reuse and Design Automation; Analog and Mixed-Signal Design & Verification; and Lower Power Techniques.

The Event’s focus on automotive will reflect issues such as functional safety, cyber security, and energy on demand, plus semiconductors for automotive use that embody radical new design concepts and state-of-the-art development processes; Mr. Adlkofer’s Keynote speech will reflect these topics as they relate to the future of automotive electronics, including self-driving cars, and the semiconductor developments required to realize this vision.

Hr. Hans Adlkofer started his career at National Semiconductor focusing on automotive ASICs before moving to Giesecke & Devrient to develop a secure operating system for smart cards. At Siemens Semiconductor (today Infineon) he headed up an application centre for Security and Smart Card ICs before moving to Singapore to run the company’s Asian business operation. In 2003 he took over responsibility for the Sensors Business Unit in Infineon Technologies, and in 2009 he was chosen to lead the system group activities in the automotive division of Infineon.

DVCon Europe covers the application of languages, tools and intellectual property for the design and verification of electronic systems and integrated circuits. Sponsored by Accellera Systems Initiative , and one of three DVCon events around the globe, DVCon Europe brings chip architects, design & verification engineers, and IP integrators the latest methodologies, techniques, applications and demonstrations for the practical use of EDA solutions for electronic design.

The 2015 conference will include 36 papers and posters, 15 tutorials and an Exhibition with demonstrations from leading tool, IP and service providers. DVCon Europe 2015 will be held at the Holiday Inn Munich City Center, Munich, Germany on the 11th and 12th
