The PCE-5127 is aimed at industrial applications that require high computing power and strong I/O capability, such as medical imaging and video surveillance applications.
The board supports the latest LGA1155 Intel 3rd generation processors with the latest 22nm micro-architecture to provide the most powerful computing capability. Compared with previous-generation 3D and video transcode applications, the benchmark shows an increase of up to 164% on 3D performance and 56% on video transcode enhancements. As for decryption applications, performance is doubled. This makes it well-suited for many types of high precision image applications.
The PCE-5127 features integrated Intel HD Graphic 4000, which provides excellent 2D and 3D graphic processing power for a vibrant VGA signal. Since the graphic processor is integrated, there is no need for additional VGA adapter, which saves on cost, power consumption, and thermal design effort.
It also offers a rich choice of I/O interfaces and supports Advantech PCE-5BXX backplanes to offer various expansion slots such as PCI, PCI-X and PCIe. PCIe lanes are configurable as one x16 going down to the backplane. The six SATA ports (two SATA 3.0 and four SATA 2.0), support software RAID 0, 1, 5, 10 for a cost-effective, data-reliable solution, and three USB 3.0s provide high performance data transfer rate upto 5Gbps. The two on-board RS-232 serial ports are for COM-port-based industrial control devices. With great graphic capability and I/O expandability, PCE-5127 makes an excellent, cost effective graphic or I/O oriented workstation-class hardware platform.
