In partnership with Texas Instruments, Wurth Electronics Midcom has developed a “Flybuck” transformer for the TIDA-00550 PLC Analog Input Module.

This pick & placeable transformer, 750315856, is built on a low profile ER11.5 package and features outputs of 27V, 5V and -5V, which supplies power to Texas Instruments’ TIDA-00550 PLC Analog Input Module . The transformer meets the requirements of functional insulation and offers an operating temperature range of -40°C to 125°C with an isolation voltage of 625V at 1 second. The transformer is suited for applications including PLC (programmable logic controllers), isolated multi-channel analogue input modules, test and measurement, and industrial process control and automation.

The description of the TI module is; The TIDA-00550, dual channel-to-channel isolated universal analog input module reference design for programmable logic controllers (PLC), combines precision and flexibility. This TI Design used in conjunction with sensor transmitters can measure standard input voltages and currents as well as thermocouples, RTD and 4-20mA loops. With only four input terminals, it is suited for applications where smallest real-estate, high versatility and performance is required at the same time.
