Hardware range for step-up to USB 3.1

Würth Elektronik eiSos has assembled a range of connectors, jacks, and cables for the USB-3.1 standard, to make use of the available 10 Gb/sec instead of 5 Gb/sec and uprated current supply.

Under the designation WR-COM USB 3.1 Superspeed+ the company offers a type-A jack with power delivery (maximum 5A/20 VDC) designed for at least 5,000 plugging cycles; as well as type-C plugs and jacks (3A/5 VDC) for at least 10,000 plugging cycles. The jacks are available for 1.0-mm and 1.6-mm circuit boards, the plugs for 0.8-mm circuit boards.
