Low-cower, configurable multifunction gates for ‘glue’ functions

Four multifunction gates from Diodes Inc. have user-customised logic configurations so that a single part can replace multiple devices.

This product line expansion adds versatility to the 74AUP1G logic family and can save space and weight in applications such as fitness wearables, smartphones and other portables. The 74AUP1G57, 74AUP1G58, 74AUP1G97 and 74AUP1G98 provide various base gate arrangements with three inputs and one output, from which the user can configure the required logic function: AND, OR, NAND, NOR, XOR, XNOR or MUX. Each part is available in four package types, ranging in size from SOT26, SOT363 and DFN1410 to the smallest DFN1010 package, measuring 1.0 x 1.0 x 0.39 mm.

The low-voltage and low-power consumption of the advanced ultra-low power (AUP) logic family also extends to these new multifunction gate devices. The 74AUP1Gxx parts feature a very low supply current (<0.9 μA at up to +85C) and low static power consumption, but can operate at low voltage (down to 0.8V Vcc) to conserve even more power.

In single reel quantities of 3k pieces the SOT26 and SOT363 package versions of the 74AUP1G57/58/97/98 parts are priced at $0.14 each. In 5k single reel quantities the DFN1010 and DFN1410 parts are priced at $0.12 each.
