Low-loss RF switches for WiFi, 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth, & designs to 6 GHz

Skyworks has introduced two Wi-Fi switches that are suited for WLAN networks, repeaters, ISM band radios, Bluetooth systems, smartphones, and connectivity modules.

The SKY13585-679LF is a single-pole, double-throw (SPDT) switch intended for 1 to 6 GHz applications. Using advanced switching technologies, this switch maintains low insertion loss and high isolation for all switching paths. The SKY13586-678LF is a single-pole, triple-throw (SP3T) antenna switch for 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi applications. These devices offer 3 to 5V supply range and are compatible with 1.8 or 3.3V control logic. They require fewer control signals compared to industry-standard SP2T and SP3T solutions and include integrated DC blocking capacitors, so no external DC blocking capacitors are required. They also feature high-linearity performance and low insertion loss, for transmit/receive applications. The switches are available in ultra-miniature 1x1 and 1.1 x 1.1 packages (6-or 8-pin), saving application board space and cost.
