Mil-spec crystal oscillators to 70 MHz

Euroquartz has added 8-pin dual-in-line models to its range of military specification crystal oscillators designed for use in applications that require high reliability.

DIL EQXO-2000BM series clock oscillators complement the company’s 14-pin DIL models – EQXO-1000BMK and EQXO-3000BMK and incorporate a custom-designed quartz crystal and a CMOS/TTL compatible hybrid circuit on a ceramic substrate. Frequency range is from 30 kHz to 70 MHz with calibration tolerance of ±10 to ±25ppm at 25°C and frequency stability of ±100 or ±50 ppm over the full military temperature range from -55 to +125°C.

The ceramic substrate is housed in an industry standard 8-pin DIL size oscillator package with four pins and a ruggedised three-point crystal mounting system within a hermetically sealed metal package. Additional specifications include ageing of ±3 ppm maximum in first year, symmetry of 45%/55% and standard 5.0V DC supply voltage (other voltages on request). Standard output is CMOS, 50 pF/10 TTL loads with other outputs available to special order.

Suitable for upper atmosphere, aerospace, defence and other applications, the EQXO-2000BM crystal oscillators can be screened to MIL-O-55310C, class B if required. Radiation tolerant EQXO-2000BMH versions will withstand ionising radiation to resist electrical failures for a total radiation dose of 40 krad(SI).
