Farnell element14 is to distribute Amphenol’s new range of Black Zinc Nickel plated MIL-DTL-38999 connectors in Europe.

This MIL-DTL-38999 Series III, Class Z QPL RoHS compliant connector family meets all the environmental & electrical performances of the previous industry-preferred, non-compliant cadmium plating. The conductive and non-reflective black finish is approved for 500hrs salt spray endurance and is fast becoming the new defence industry standard.

Black Zinc Nickel plating is an suitable choice for applications in highly demanding environments such as;

· Temperature Range -65° to +175°C in accordance with Mil-DTL-38999

· Compatibility - no significant galvanic reaction with cadmium, zinc cobalt or electroless nickel plated parts
