NXP Software, supplier of mobile voice and multimedia software, and Wolfson Microelectronics have announced that NXP Software’s LifeVibes VoiceExperience 4.0 is now available on Wolfson’s WM8280 Audio Hub, using Wolfson’s Audio Digital Signal Processor (ADSP) platform.

Wolfson’s low power WM8280 Audio Hub solution is designed to deliver revolutionary audio performance for smartphones, tablets and portable multimedia devices; combined with LifeVibes VoiceExperience, Wolfson and NXP Software together offer a solution that they say provides natural speech for any calling use case, including speakerphone calls, even in the noisiest environments.

LifeVibes™ VoiceExperience ensures mobile devices can offer clear and natural voice calling for every use case. It allows device manufacturers to deliver voice quality that exceeds mobile operator requirements. Deployed in over one billion devices, VoiceExperience is a platform-independent, full-software solution offering fast time-to-market and measurably superior quality, backed by worldwide support teams.

Wolfson’s family of low power Audio Hubs provide high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and a range of processing options (up to 600 MIPS of processing power). The ADSP family is platform agnostic and has the ability to run Wolfson's suite of sound enhancing and noise reduction software, customers' own software or third party software, such as NXP Software’s LifeVibes VoiceExperience.
