PMBus control/data with 60A non-isolated point-of-load converters

TDK-Lambda iJB series 60A non-isolated SMT DC-DC converters, for high current applications, are packaged as compact POL modules that offer an extremely high power density and high operating efficiency from light to full load conditions; they add digital adaptive control; parallel operation with current sharing; and configurable sequence and fault management.

As PMBus read- and write-compliant and digitally controlled, the modules allow for a great deal of flexibility and customisation to address a broad range of applications including communications, test, broadcast and industrial equipment.

The iJB series performs local voltage conversion from 8-14 VDC bus voltages at up to 93% efficiency and features adjustable output voltages from 0.6 to 2.0V with a precision set point accuracy of 0.5% and extremely accurate current read-back – the digital adaptive control feature accommodates a wide range of external load capacitances. Measuring 26.8 x 24.1 x 9.7 mm, the iJB power modules offer high power density and support easy paralleling with interleaving for implementation in higher current applications.

Standard features include negative or positive remote on/off, Power Good signal, remote sense, configurable sequence and fault management capabilities, and fully automatic recovery protection circuitry for over current and over voltage conditions. Models in the iJB series are approved to UL/CSA/IEC/EN 60950-1. The iJB series carries a 3-year warranty and is CE-marked in accordance with the low voltage (LV) and RoHS Directives.
