Rail-to-rail amplifiers offer 75 MHz BW for 0.5 mA current drain

From Exar, the XR1008/XR2008 are single/dual amplifiers offering 75 MHz bandwidth while consuming 505 µA supply current and the lower power XR1009/XR2009 single/dual amplifiers provide 35 MHz at 208 µA supply current.

When compared to competing products, Exar claims, the XR1008/XR2008 devices offer six times the bandwidth and the even lower power XR1009/XR2009 devices offer three times the bandwidth. The XR1008/XR2008 single/dual amplifiers target industrial applications such as smart meters, ultrasonic heat meters and other applications requiring high speed and low power. The XR1009/XR2009 are single/dual amplifiers with an ultra-low 200 µA supply current for applications such as portable instrumentation.

All four devices support inputs that extend 300 mV beyond the negative supply voltage and provide rail-to-rail outputs. Slew rates and input voltage noise are specified at 50 V/µsec and 12 nV/√Hz for the XR1008/XR2008 and 27 V/µsec and 21 nV/√Hz for the XR1009/XR2009. In TSOT-5, MSOP-8 and SOIC-8 packages, pricing ranges from $0.51 to $0.82 (1000).
