RealSense teardown highlights IR light projector

Reverse engineering services company Chipworks Inc. (Ottawa, Canada) has deconstructed an Intel RealSense depth-sensing camera taken out of a Lenovo Yoga15 computer.

The camera includes a conventional color CMOS image sensor, an infrared image sensor, an infrared light projector and an image processor.

The deconstruction includes several photographs including this one of the IR sensor made for Intel by Tower Semiconductor Ltd. (see Tower makes IR sensor for Intel RealSense)
