RFID SMT antenna designed for automotive applications

PREMO has launched its TP0702 family of standard RFID SMT antennas, universally adopted by industry. This format provides up to 50 mV/Apk-pk/m (for 7.2 mH) sensitivity which gives it the best sensitivity in this transponder size.

The TP0702U and TP0702UCAP are SMD antennas for low frequency 20 kHz to 150 kHz receiver applications. The TP0702UCAP features upper and lateral side protection with co-polyamide polyhexamethylene polymer walls (gamma radiated) with high thermal stability (supports up to 290 °C) and mechanical resistance (exceeds 150 Mpa mechanical strength).

This antenna is equipped with NiZn ferrite core with high surface resistivity of over 10Mohm/mm that provides a highly stable behavior (better than ±3%) over a wide temperature range (-40 °C to 125 °C).

The TP0702UCAP is particularly suitable for applications such as TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems) which requires high performance under extreme conditions. It conforms to AEC-Q200 as well as additional EU regulations.

The company offers four standard values, 2.38 mH, 4.91 mH, 7.2 mH and 9 mH at 125 kHz. Others inductance values and frequencies, from 340 µH to 18.5 mH are available upon request.
