Scalable radio channel emulator for testing 4G LTE

EB (Elektrobit Corporation) has introduced the EB Propsim F32 radio channel emulator for testing the performance of wireless networks, base stations, terminals and chipsets utilizing multi-antenna and multi-radio technologies.

EB Propsim F32 — with 32 RF channels and 128 fading channels –— is an easy solution for testing complex technologies such as 3G/4G, LTE, LTE-Advanced and beyond. It is a scalable test solution with up to eight times the traditional emulator testing capacity in a single box — hence being the first radio channel emulator that can truly test the performance of an entire 4G LTE network in a laboratory.

In order to ensure the reliable functionality of 4G LTE products, it is essential to accurately capture its veritable performance during R&D phase. EB Propsim radio channel emulators are designed to replicate wireless environments such as fading, noise and spatial channel conditions. The radio channel emulator isolates the performance issues of a developed product in all phases of R&D and therefore shortens the product development cycle, which provides cost savings down the wireless ecosystem.
