The component, which is functionally compatible with conventional SiT1602, SiT8103 and SiT8008 clocks, comes in a 5-pin SOT23 housing just 2.8 x 2.4 x 1.2 mm in size which guarantees maximum security during soldering. A cost-effective purely visual inspection is sufficient to check the solder joints – x-ray examinations are not required. This housing, normally used mainly for discrete components, is useful in applications which are exposed to high thermal stresses or strong vibrations. The temperature coefficient is around ~75 ppm/K.
The power supply can be 1.8, 2.5, 2.8 or 3.3 V. This means that the single chip clock, which is available both for the commercial temperature range of -20 to +70 °C and for the extended temperature range of -40 to +85 °C, is suitable for deployment in a wide variety of network, memory, industrial and consumer applications.
