The package facilitates complex calibration of RF to millimeter-wave measurement systems and creates task-based test setup guidance—from signal creation to measurement: it generates and analyzes 5G candidate waveforms to ensure accurate and repeatable measurements.
Keysight’s Signal Optimizer software aids with calibration and the critical design tasks related to 5G signal creation and analysis, thereby allowing, the company says, R&D engineers to focus more time on being first-to-market with their own designs.
Calibration is essential to making accurate measurements of 5G signals; however, calibrating wideband channels at RF, microwave and millimeter wave frequencies is a challenging task. Signal Optimizer software overcomes this challenge by simplifying fully-guided system calibrations. The software also features task-based instructions that simplify complex system optimization and measurements, and allow engineers to more confidently validate their 5G designs.

Signal Optimizer software can generate and analyze a host of 5G candidate technologies, such as FBMC and F-OFDM. Enhanced LTE for 5G is also being developed along with new multiple access on existing LTE signals. Future additions are simply licensed and added to the Signal Optimizer software on an as needed basis.
