The switch delivers low-insertion loss, does not require any DC blocks or external components for operation, and its high-compression point leads to better linearity, lower-harmonic generation, and less stringent harmonic filtering. In addition, its low-current consumption enables lower current draw from the battery, and longer operation between battery charges.
Designed for broadband, medium power switching applications, the switch delivers insertion loss of 0.60 dB typical at 2.2 GHz and 0.65 dB typical at 2.7 GHz; high isolation of over 30 dB typical at 1.0 GHz and 23 dB typical at 2.7 GHz; VDD of 2.5 to 5.5 V; and IIP3 of +65 dBm typical at 0.90 GHz. The device also offers good 2nd and 3rd harmonic performance of under 75 dBc at 2.2 GHz.
The switch is manufactured with an industry-leading Silicon-on-Insulator (SOI) process. The SKY13388-465LF features on-chip energy management circuitry that uses only two control lines for the switch operation. The low current consumption makes the device suitable for battery-operated applications.
The SP4T switch is provided in a compact QFN 2 x 2 mm package.
