Ultra-low jitter VCXO

Rubyquartz LLC has announced its V8F/V8M family of ultra-low jitter VCXO’s suitable as pin for pin replacements for Epson-Toyocom TCO-2111T products.

This family of LVPECL voltage controlled VCXO oscillators become particularly useful in applications such as backhaul transmission, fiber Infrastructure, Gigabit Ethernet, PLL applications, test and measurement and networking.

Typical frequencies, such as 122.88 MHz, 153.6 MHz, 155.52 MHz, 245.76 MHz, 320.00 MHz, 491.52 MHz and others make the V8F/V8M family additionally applicable in wireless base station, wireless and fiber transmissions and instrumentation applications.

Low RMS jitter is accomplished by using high frequency fundamental crystals for the frequency range of from 50 MHz to 250 MHz (0.4 ps typical) and an analog frequency multiplication scheme for the range of 100 MHz to 800 MHz (0.6 ps typical) with frequency pull-up at ±150 ppm.

Supply voltage is at 3.3 V ±5% within an operating temperature range of from -40 to +85°C. Units are furnished in a 9.0 x 14.0 FR4 package and are RoHS compliant.

The Rubyquartz V8F/V8M family is currently available with a 6 – 8 weeks lead-time.
