Silego Technology’s SLG4LCxxxxV series presents a Universal Fast Charge Identification Solution, which features Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 technology.

The SLG4LCxxxxV series helps identify devices supporting Quick Charge 2.0 and provides the correct control information to the power supply to set the proper charging voltage. This configurable mixed-signal IC (CMIC) solution also includes support for many legacy fast charging standards, fault notification, and programmable discharge for high to low voltage transition.

With Quick Charge 2.0, the SLG4LCxxxxV series is designed to charge mobile devices up to 75% faster, allowing supporting devices with high-capacity batteries to charge in about one hour vs. the typical four-hour charging cycles of conventional chargers.

“Silego is taking a major step forward in the smartphone fast charging ID segment by working closely with Qualcomm Technologies,” said John McDonald, VP of Marketing. McDonald continues, “In the past four years Silego has built a fast charging identification product family, and an in-house IP library to support the most popular mobile devices. Adding Quick Charge 2.0 further strengthens Silego's product position in this space. These offerings from Silego are the only proven Universal Fast Charging ID solutions available.”

The SLG4LC4480V is the first device in the SLG4LCxxxxV series, and features both USB BC 1.2 in DCP mode and Quick Charge 2.0, enabling designers to quickly implement this new standard in their products while ensuring broader compatibility. Use it in accessories and chargers featuring Qualcom Quick ChargeT 2.0; mobile power battery banks; international travel chargers and adaptors; universal AC-DC chargers with USB port; and wearable electronic chargers.
