Oscars overshadowed by EDN Innovation Awards!

Register your vote now for Best-of-2007 Innovations; ballot closes end-February

EDN Europe, 22 Feb 2008

Only a few days to go until voting closes in EDN’s Annual Innovation Awards.

As in previous years, the Awards will be announced and presented at a function that takes place in San Jose, California, in April – but readers of any edition of EDN Worldwide are eligible to vote. By following this link you will find a list of all of the finalists, and a description of the product, service or achievement that earned that coveted short-list position.

In today’s global market, with scattered design teams, it’s hard to say that any of the entries originates in any particular region; but entries that have a strongly European background include (in strictly alphabetical origin);

CamSemi’s C2470 offline ac/dc controller;
Infineon Technologies’ BGA700L16 and BGA734L16 low-noise amplifiers;
NXP Semiconductors’ LPC2478 ARM-based microcontroller; and
Wolfson Microelectronics’ WM8350 audio and power-management IC.

But I would encourage you to look beyond purely local talent and review the complete list. Some you may have noticed from our new product coverage over the past months – some may have already been in the market long enough for you to have started to design with them. If the Innovations impress – place a vote! You can vote in as many or as few categories as you wish.

Help make the voting profile as global as the pool of Innovations from which EDN’s Editors have compiled this year’s Entry List.
