Silicon MEMS timing platform features ±0.5ppm frequency stability

SiTime claims that its Encore platform is a high performance Silicon MEMS timing solution. This platform offers stability, phase noise, jitter and aging performance and enables MEMS-based OCXO, TCXO and VCXO products for telecomm, networking, wireless and storage applications. The device also offers pin compatibility with existing quartz-based products. Performance on the platform includes ±0.5ppm frequency stability; 650fs of integrated RMS random phase jitter, measured over 12kHz to 20MHz;200fs of integrated RMS random phase jitter, using the FibreChannel 8.5Gbit/s jitter mask; and the pull range up to ±1600ppm on VCXOs.
