EDN Europe, 02 Dec 2010

Antenova announced its increased focus on the wireless M2M (machine-to-machine) and embedded device markets. The company’s gigaNOVA range of standard antennas and RADIONOVA RF antenna modules offer a range of drop-in antenna solutions for the wireless M2M and embedded device markets. The gigaNOVA range of 2.4GHz antennas have been implemented in several luxury vehicle infotainment systems, according to the company. Reflexus and Calvus cellular penta-band SMD antennas are known with M2M module and device vendors as they provide high efficiency with the ease of integration of a standard surface mount device. Both Reflexus and Calvus are suitable for GSM/GPRS modules as well as 3G modules for vendors looking to future proof their products. And, the GPS RADIONOVA RF antenna modules have gained traction with personal trackers, automatic vehicle locators and vehicle ‘Black Box’ applications. The antennas and RF solutions are offered for a range of embedded and M2M applications requiring cellular, LTE, Bluetooth (BT, BT EDR, BT LE), ZigBee, WiFi, WiMAX and GPS (1.575GHz) connectivity. The antennas are suitable for wireless M2M and embedded device applications, including telematics, automatic meter reading (amr), remote medical monitoring, wireless security, home automation, trackers, industrial computing, fixed wireless access and electronic shelf labels.
