Precision chips feature 1-pA bias current and low noise
EDN Europe, 28 Sep 2007
28th September 2007 – Linear Technology this week announced the LTC6081 and LTC6082 CMOS precision op-amps with 3.5MHz gain-bandwidth and less than 90 μV offset over the entire -40°C to +125°C temperature range. With rail-to-rail input and output stages, the dual LTC6081 and quad LTC6082 have low frequency noise of 1.3 μVp-p and input bias current of 1 pA max at 25°C, suiting the chips precision instrumentation applications. They use 330 μA per amplifier and offer an optional shutdown feature, to 0.5 μA per amplifier. Gain bandwidth is 3.5 MHz, slew rate is 1 V/μs, CMRR 105 dB and PSSR 90 dB, while the large signal voltage gain of 120dB ensures gain linearity. LTC6081 dual occupies an 8-pin MSOP or 3mm x 3mm DFN package. The LTC6082 quad occupies a 16-pin SSOP or 5mm x 3mm DFN package. The parts cost $1.74 each for the LTC6081 dual and $2.97 each for the LTC6082 quad (1000).
